There are literally thousands of animal parks, aquariums, zoos and such out there.  I will be showing you just a few.  I have attempted to find websites with good online adventures for you to share. 

In this Man and Mollusc section, I am trying to place only zoo pages that have educational value and / or interactive sections.

There are many, many great zoos in the world and on the WWW. However, a lot are just sites telling you about that particular zoo. To locate these zoos, go to my Miscellaneous section and visit some of the many links pages that I have provided there.

Australia:

• Alma Park Zoo: (Brisbane) find information and discover the tropical zoo's facilities, activities, and animals

• Australia Zoo - official site for both Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, and the Australia Zoo.

• Bowmanville Zoo: (Ontario) Come and meet some real TV animal stars

• Granby Zoo, (Quebec): Flash player required for this site. A fun interactive site for a rainy afternoon's entertainment!

• the Toronto Zoo! (Ontario): Check out the "Animal Videos". Here's where you can visit some of your favourite zoo animals and find out what goes on in a World Class Zoo.

• Chester Zoo: (England) the UK's largest zoo. Zoo of the year and always new.  Animals are our only share holders

• Ragunan Zoo : you can learn about many animals, such as the komodo dragon, on this zoo site

• The Open Zoo:by the Singapore Zoological Gardens: Be sure to check out their Games page. Brain-teaser interactive fun,

South Africa:

• De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre: Online tour. Flash player required. "This is an informative tour providing a look into the habitat and behaviour of animals. Slide shows are provided with snippets of information which is ideal for school projects."

• The Open Zoo: Khao Kheow Open Zoo and Night Safari in Cholburi (150 km east of Bangkok) was established as a unit of The Zoological Park Organization of Thailand on June 1st, 1978 as an open zoo with an area of 5,000 Rai or 2000 acres.

United States of America:
